The Czech city of Ostrava has decided to donate 25 tramcars to Konotop, which is located in Sumy region. The mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin, announced this on his Facebook page on June 27.

"The City Council of Ostrava has just decided to donate three more comfortable Solaris buses and 25 Tatra tramcars, which are in almost perfect technical condition, to the city of Konotop! Thank you Ostrava! Thank you Czech Republic!" he wrote.

Representatives of the Czech city's mayor's office also announced the transfer of new rolling stock to Konotop. It should be reminded that in November 2022, Ostrava already sent seven Solaris buses to Konotop.

"It is mainly thanks to Ostrava that public transport is now operating in Konotop, Ukraine. So far, we have provided them with 10 buses, 25 trams and other humanitarian aid, becoming their largest donor. In gratitude, one of the streets there was named after Ostrava. The symbolic sign was handed over to the city council today by Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin," Ostrava authorities said.
