In June 2023, the Consumer Confidence Index of Ukrainians decreased by 9.5 points

According to the monthly survey "Consumer confidence in Ukraine" conducted by Info Sapiens, the Consumer Confidence Index of Ukrainians decreased by 9.5 points to the level of 82.5 in June 2023. All components of the indicator also decreased.

In June, there was a deterioration in all components of the indicator - both the Consumer Confidence Index and the Indices of Current Situation and Economic Expectations decreased. In general, analysts note that the Ukrainian population has become more pessimistic about the current situation and the future.

In June, the Index of Expectations of Changes in Unemployment increased by 9.1 points to 129.9 points. The Index of Inflationary Expectations also increased by 8.3 points to the level of 182.3.

The expectations of Ukrainians regarding the hryvnia exchange rate for the next 3 months have deteriorated: the index of devaluation expectations increased by 6.7 points to 138.6 points.

At the same time, analysts note that in periods of significant changes and active development of the situation, it is more appropriate to monitor the indicator over longer time periods to provide a reliable assessment of the dynamics and prospects.
