Croatia is offering its ports for exporting Ukrainian agricultural products after the disruption of the grain deal with Russia. The proposal was made by Croatian Foreign Minister Frano Matusic at a meeting of the UN General Assembly during an open ministerial debate on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The breakdown of the grain deal with Russia has created a risk of famine in different parts of the world, and Croatia is ready to help Ukrainian agriculture find alternative routes for food exports. Croatian railroads and ports in the Adriatic Sea could be one of these alternative routes for transporting Ukrainian grain.

Russia's decision to terminate the agreement on the purchase of Ukrainian grain was unexpected and unfair, which posed serious challenges to Ukraine's economy and international cooperation. Russia's move caused the severance of certain economic ties and deepened the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

Croatia, for its part, has shown its support for Ukraine since the beginning of the great war and is ready to continue supporting it in the face of growing challenges and uncertainties. The offer to provide its infrastructure capabilities for the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products is a demonstration of solidarity and cooperation between the two countries.

The use of alternative routes for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products can help ensure stability in the markets and prevent negative consequences for the global economy. Croatia has demonstrated its willingness to cooperate and promote the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, focusing its efforts on reducing the economic challenges that have arisen as a result of the grain deal.
