The active process of small-scale privatization of state property in Ukraine continues, and in the first half of 2023, it has already added UAH 2 billion to the state budget. One third of this amount, namely UAH 683.7 million, was received in June. This was reported by the press service of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Roksolana Pidlasa, according to Forbes.ua.
For all periods, small-scale privatization has brought significant revenues to the state budget. The largest amount of money was raised from the sale of objects such as the Hermitage Hotel building, which received UAH 311 million, the Ukroboronresursy State Enterprise's EMC - UAH 210 million, the Ust-Dunay Port - UAH 201 million, the Storonibabsky Distillery - UAH 142 million, the Electronmash State Enterprise's EMC - UAH 120.8 million, and the Vlasta Hotel - UAH 115 million.
In the first half of 2023, total revenues from small-scale privatization to the state budget amounted to UAH 1.8 billion, which is 73.3% more than in the same period of 2021 and 6.1 times more than in the same period of 2022.
It is important to note that the funds raised from small-scale privatization are used to cover the state budget deficit and are also directed exclusively to the needs of national security and defense. Such actions help to improve the financial stability of the state and support national measures to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
The Government continues to work actively to develop and implement effective mechanisms for the privatization of state property in order to support the economy and ensure a stable national budget. These results are a confirmation of the successful implementation of privatization measures and a positive signal to investors who invest in the development of Ukrainian enterprises and help maintain the stability of the country's economy.
