Strong demand for hybrid cars in the Ukrainian car market

In January-June this year, more than 7,000 hybrid passenger cars were registered on the Ukrainian car market, which is a 23% increase compared to the same period last year. Compared to the pre-war year 2021, the registration of hybrid cars is 11% behind. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.

New passenger cars accounted for 68% of all hybrid car sales since the beginning of this year. Hybrids covered 17.6% of the new passenger car market.

Among new hybrid cars, the leader in the first half of the year was the Toyota RAV-4 crossover with 770 units sold.

The top three also included Mercedes-Benz GLE and Nissan Qashqai with 383 and 363 units sold, respectively.

As for the registrations of imported used cars with hybrid powertrains, the Ford Fusion US topped the list with 247 units sold.
