New route to the Carpathians: Ukrzaliznytsia launches another train

Ukrzaliznytsia continues to expand its train network to the Carpathians and has appointed another additional train. The first trip is scheduled for August 1, and it will run through picturesque places from Lviv through Skole, Slavske, Volovets to Mukachevo.

This news was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Passengers who choose this route will be able to use special bicycle racks located in the first and last cars (No. 1 and No. 8).

The regional train schedule provides for departure from Lviv at 07:35 and arrival in Mukachevo at 12:07.

In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Mukachevo at 14:30 and arrive in Lviv at 18:45.

The train route includes stops at the following stations: Mykolaiv-Dnistrovsky, Stryi, Skole, Hrebeniv, Tukhlya, Slavske, Lavochne, Volovets, Svaliava, and Karpaty.

"Ukrzaliznytsia also reported that in August, in particular on August 3, 8, 10, 17, 24, and 31, this train will not run, and starting August 15, the schedule will be adjusted due to the repair of the railroad track.

Train tickets can be purchased via the Ukrzaliznytsia app, chatbot, the official website, or at station ticket offices.

Recently, Ukrzaliznytsia also launched an additional train #227/228 from Kyiv via Yaremche, Vorokhta to Yasinia. Starting from August 6, this train will run from Kyiv on even days, and from August 7 - from Yasinia on odd days.

It should be noted that on June 12, Ukrzaliznytsia launched a pilot sale of tickets to women's compartments for four destinations: Kharkiv - Lviv, Dnipro - Truskavets, Kyiv - Uzhhorod, Kyiv - Kryvyi Rih. These trains provide more convenience and comfort for women while traveling.
