Motor Sich takes control of Vinnytsia Aviation Plant

The Government of Ukraine has made an important decision to transfer shares of Vinnytsia Aviation Plant to the ownership and management of Motor Sich Public Joint Stock Company. This became known from the press service of the Ministry of Economy. The decision was made following the recommendation of the National Agency for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA).

Currently, the shares of Vinnytsia Aviation Plant are managed by ARMA on the basis of a court decision. In November 2022, Motor Sich PJSC was transferred to the state by a decision of the military authorities, and the company is currently under the care of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Oleksiy Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy, explained that Vinnytsia Aircraft Plant has a long-term cooperation with Motor Sich, overhauling and modernizing engines for helicopters. For its part, Motor Sich has played an important role in strengthening the country's defense capabilities while being in state ownership.

Given these circumstances, it was deemed appropriate to transfer the management of Vinnytsia Aircraft Plant from ARMA to Motor Sich. This step will facilitate the continuous operation of the plant, improve management and promote effective cooperation between both enterprises for the benefit of Ukraine's defense.

The transfer of the Vinnytsia Aircraft Plant to Motor Sich reflects the ongoing efforts of the Ukrainian government to support and develop the national aviation complex, increase its capacity and efficiency, and create conditions for the successful development of the Ukrainian defense industry.

The possibility of fruitful cooperation between the two prominent aviation companies will increase the production and supply of modern equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian defense forces, as well as help create conditions for attracting foreign partners and increasing exports of high-quality aviation products. The transfer of management of Motor Sich is an important step in strengthening Ukraine's aviation industry and ensuring its sustainable development in the future.
