The head of the Servant of the People faction and co-author of the bill, David Arakhamia, said that the Verkhovna Rada plans to pass a law on the restoration of electronic declaration no later than mid-September. He noted that this step is a commitment to the International Monetary Fund, and the deadline for this is September 15.

Arakhamia acknowledged that the process of restoring e-declaration will not be easy, but he is confident that this task will be accomplished. The draft law is currently being prepared for the second reading, where there is a need to "separate excuses" from the real problems that arise in the declaration process.

Arakhamia noted that there are difficult situations that need to be taken into account in the declaration process. For example, border communities with occupied territories where people are in danger may have an honest argument about the need to hide the whereabouts of their families and children. At the same time, military personnel from the frontline also face circumstances that complicate declaration, and the possibility of mandatory declaration upon return is being considered.

In the process of preparing for the second reading of the draft law, it is planned to introduce amendments that will require military personnel from territorial recruitment centers to declare their assets regardless of the situation at the front. Regarding the declaration of children's whereabouts abroad, a compromise position is being considered that would allow declaring the country without specifying the place of residence, but after the end of martial law, more detailed declarations will be required.

The draft law on the restoration of electronic declaration was supported by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading on July 27. This is the first step towards restoring the declaration procedure, which is important for ensuring transparency and fighting corruption in the country.

The head of the Servant of the People faction called for a responsible attitude to the process of adopting the law and is confident that the Verkhovna Rada will manage to pass the law on the restoration of e-declaration in due time. This is an important step to fulfill obligations to international partners and ensure the stability of the country's economy.
