Additional payments to defenders: New rates for military and law enforcement officers

The Ukrainian government has recently approved new rates of monthly allowances for military personnel, law enforcement officers and rescuers who have taken on the important mission of protecting the country and the safety of its citizens. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on August 9.

According to the adopted resolution, the amount of additional payments will vary significantly depending on the nature of the duties. First of all, it is proposed to establish additional payments of UAH 30,000 per month for persons serving during martial law. This initiative is aimed at recognizing the importance of the contribution of military personnel to national security.

However, certain categories of persons who carry out operational management of military units and subdivisions from a distance will be able to receive monthly additional payments in a higher amount - UAH 50,000. This is a recognition of their responsibility and importance in maintaining the operational effectiveness of the armed forces.

In particular, those who are in direct contact with and participate in hostilities will receive a monthly supplement of UAH 100,000. This high rate is a confirmation of the importance of their mission and heroism in the defense of the nation.

The innovation also applies to conscripts and cadets who perform duties for the benefit of the country. According to the government's decision, they will receive a monthly supplement of UAH 6,000 for conscripts and UAH 2,350 for cadets. This will help encourage young people to join the military and provide a quality contribution to the development of the national security forces.

It is important to emphasize that these new monthly allowance rates are part of an overall strategy to support the country's defenders and recognize their significant contribution to national security. The Government of Ukraine is committed to providing adequate conditions for those who risk their lives to protect the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
