A new bridge in Mykolaiv region: Infrastructure development of the region

Near the city of Nova Odesa and the village of Troitske in Mykolaiv region, a new bridge over the Hnylyi Yelanets River on the H-24 Blahovishchenske - Mykolaiv highway has been completed. This infrastructure initiative has become extremely important for the region, as it replaced an outdated bridge that had existed since 1958 and had become a source of security threats and traffic congestion. This was reported by the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development.

The old bridge, which had not been repaired for 35 years, was in disrepair and posed a danger to drivers due to its location on a horizontal curve with a radius of 100 meters. This led to numerous traffic accidents. As a result of the road reconstruction, the position of the bridge and the highway at this location was changed.

An unfortunate circumstance was that after the work was completed, it was expected that the old bridge would be dismantled. However, due to Russia's military aggression, this possibility disappeared. However, the new bridge included not only straightening the route and widening the road, but also adding a lane for climbing. Its length is 109 meters.

The builders performed important work on reinforcing and concreting the bridge structure, strengthened the approaches to the bridge part using rubble stone and crushed stone of various fractions, and also carried out work to stabilize the ground surface.

In addition, the new bridge was equipped with an asphalt surface, stairs, barrier and railing fencing, pedestrian walkways, a public transport stop, a drainage system, road signs and markings. It should be noted that the bridge will be illuminated with energy-saving lamps.

This new infrastructure has not only improved road safety and comfort in the region, but also contributes to economic development by facilitating better access to markets and businesses for local residents and businesses. It is also another step towards restoring infrastructure damaged by the military conflict, allowing residents of the region to experience an improvement in their quality of life.

A number of other bridges damaged during the war have already been restored in Mykolaiv region. This activity demonstrates the authorities' attention to infrastructure development and restoration in the region, which is an important step in restoring normal functioning and maintaining the living standards of the population.
