On Sunday, September 3, Ukrainian Railways launched a new international train No. 119/120 on the Kyiv-Chelm route for the first time, providing a convenient and important connection between Ukraine and Poland.
This was reported by the press service of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, which shared the news of the launch of this train.
The route of this new international train includes the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and the Polish city of Chełm. Train No. 119/120 runs in both directions, providing a convenient way to travel for passengers from both countries.
According to the schedule, the train arrives in Chełm at 17:27, giving passengers the opportunity to transfer to the Polish train IC21100 to Warsaw, which departs at 18:12 and arrives at 21:02. The return route from Chełm to Kyiv starts at 10:23. Passengers can also take the train IC12100, which departs from Warsaw at 06:05 and arrives in Chełm at 08:42. The last stop on the route is Kyiv, where the train arrives at 22:45.
The first flight of the new international train was a sell-out, with strong demand from passengers who appreciated the new rail route. While some seats may have already been sold out, Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that a few tickets are still available and that passengers can refer to the relevant app for up-to-date information.
This is the third daily international train to be launched for the convenience of passengers with flights from Warsaw after 23:00 or early in the morning to various cities such as Cairo, Ostrava, Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, and Vienna.
It is important to note that due to repair works on the Polish railways, trains #89/90 on the route Kyiv - Przemyśl and #73/74 on the route Kharkiv - Przemyśl will be canceled from September 7 to October 6. Passengers are advised to take this into account when planning their travels.
