Ukraine may lose $4 billion due to reduced grain exports

If Ukraine fails to improve its monthly grain exports, it could suffer serious financial losses of at least $3-4 billion. This was stated by Dmytro Solomchuk, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.

According to the expert, this year's grain harvest will be larger than expected, reaching approximately 75 million tons. However, in order to maintain a balance in the market, Ukraine needs to increase monthly exports from 3 million tons to 5.5-6 million tons.

Currently, Ukraine exports grain by land and via the Danube, exporting 3 million tons monthly. Solomchuk emphasized that this volume is not enough to ensure stability in the market.

Large financial losses may require Ukrainian farmers to save on seeds and fertilizers, and there may be problems with payments for land shares. As a result, the quality and volume of next year's crops may decline.

Avoiding such losses requires a strategic approach to managing grain exports and ensuring stability in the Ukrainian agricultural market.
