Ukrainians choose: Which areas of work are the most promising

The analysis of the survey results conducted by analysts of the OLX Job platform indicates which industries in Ukraine are considered the most promising for employment. According to the survey, 44% of platform users believe that construction is the most promising field of work in Ukraine.

Military and law enforcement professions are second in popularity, with 41% of the votes. No less popular is the IT sector, which is associated with future opportunities for 38% of respondents.

Other important industries for Ukrainians are logistics and delivery (37%) and retail/sales (36%). Healthcare and pharmacy (34%) and agriculture/agribusiness (30%) are also among the most promising industries.

Interestingly, the choice of Ukrainians regarding promising industries does not always coincide with the number of vacancies that receive the most responses on the OLX platform. According to the platform, the most popular job sectors for users are construction (with 173,531 responses to job ads), retail (165,579 responses), logistics and delivery (140,222 responses), cleaning/homemaking (59,207 responses), and security and safety (59,105 responses).

When choosing a field of activity to work in, Ukrainians are guided by the following main criteria: the level of earnings (61%), the demand for the profession (23%), the possibility of receiving bonuses, health insurance and additional days off (5%), as well as the prestige of the job and the number of open vacancies (3%).
