Government announces the start of the heating season and no deficit in the energy system

On October 20, during a government meeting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced the official start of the heating season and assured citizens that there is no shortage in the country's energy system.

According to the Prime Minister, the heating season has begun and the heating is being gradually connected to more and more cities and social infrastructure facilities, such as schools, hospitals, kindergartens and others.

Denys Shmyhal noted that there is currently no shortage in Ukraine's energy system and no need to apply blackouts or schedules. However, he emphasized the importance of continuing to prepare for possible threats and added that the enemy could be stockpiling missiles for massive attacks.

The government also announced the preparation of thousands of "invincibility points" across the country in case the situation escalates. These points are intended to protect the population from possible threats and ensure the smooth functioning of social infrastructure.

Heating tariffs will remain unchanged until the end of the heating season, and subsidies will be extended automatically. Continued subsidies do not require a new application for the heating season. The Pension Fund will make the appropriate calculation to ensure that every family that needs support to pay for housing and utility services is provided with assistance.

The Ukrainian government is taking steps to prepare and ensure the comfort of citizens during the heating season, and this information has been shared with the community to ensure the safety and comfort of Ukrainians.
