Ukrainians have high hopes for rapid economic growth in the period after the war, according to a sociological survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology at the initiative of the Center for Social and Economic Research CASE Ukraine.
According to the survey, almost half of Ukrainians (48.5%) expect an economic recovery within 3-5 years after the end of the war. A significant number of respondents (28.9%) believe that the main source of this growth will be the creation of conditions for foreign investors and Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
Another important point of Ukrainians' expectations is the confiscation of Russian assets, which was mentioned by 27.1% of respondents. This is defined as the possibility of compensation for damages and interception of Russian funds and property.
In addition, 19.1% of respondents see the improvement of conditions for Ukrainian entrepreneurs as a key factor in rapid economic growth.
Despite some optimism, 20.2% of Ukrainians do not see conditions for significant economic growth, and 8.9% believe that concessional loans and charitable contributions from Western countries will play a key role in the country's recovery.
The findings reflect the diverse views of citizens on possible ways to stimulate the economy in the post-crisis period.
