During the first 10 months of 2023, Ukrainians actively paid fines for violating traffic rules, which amounted to almost UAH 400 million. During this period, automatic recording systems registered an impressive number of 2,164,101 violations.

This information was provided by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine. According to him, the total amount of fines recorded for violations amounted to UAH 399,807,873, based on 1,942,825 resolutions. The average amount paid by citizens for violations was more than UAH 1.332 million per day.

The news of an innovative opportunity to pay a fine for a violation through the Traffic Fines mobile application or in Diia aroused widespread interest among drivers. This has become especially convenient for those whose vehicles are not registered, as they can now receive a fine notice directly sent to the car owner.

Biloshytskyi points out that if the fine is paid within 10 days of receiving the decision, the cost of the fine will be only 50% of the total amount.

It is important to note that these figures are impressive compared to the previous year - in the first half of 2022, starting in May, the auto-fixation cameras recorded more than 2,085,203 traffic violations, resulting in fines of more than UAH 382 million.
