The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has terminated its cooperation with the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Investment of the Republic of Belarus in the field of protection and development of economic competition. The AMCU press service reports that the decision was made at a meeting on November 21.

In pursuance of the draft order "On Termination of International Agreements of Ukraine of an Interagency Nature with the Republic of Belarus", the AMCU terminated the cooperation agreement that had been in force since 1997. This decision concerns cooperation in the field of protection and development of economic competition.

According to the agreement, cooperation between the parties provided for improvement of the policy on protection and development of economic competition, as well as implementation of antimonopoly regulation and development of the competitive environment.

It is noted that this decision also led to the termination of the protocol of December 20, 2017 between the AMCU and the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus. This protocol confirmed the succession of the latter under the previously concluded agreement.
