Kyiv is entering an important stage of infrastructure development as the city authorities announce the start of construction of the Troieschyna subway and other key facilities. This initiative is reflected in the City Targeted Infrastructure Development Program for 2024-2025, which is currently under consideration by the relevant commissions of the City Council.
The total budget of the program is UAH 34 billion 783.627 million. This funding will be distributed among various projects, including Kyiv's most famous long-term construction project, the Podilskyi Bridge Crossing, which should reach 88% completion by the end of 2025, with UAH 1.8 billion allocated from the city budget.
In addition, the program provides for the intensification of projects for the development of the Kyiv subway. In particular, UAH 1.49 billion is allocated for the construction of the Syretsko-Pecherska subway line and UAH 46.8 million for the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska line.
In addition to the subway, the program provides for the development of transport infrastructure, including the construction of trolleybus lines and road reconstruction. It also provides funding for the improvement of rolling stock as part of the national project Urban Public Transport of Ukraine.
The Kyiv authorities plan to start these projects in 2024, using a variety of funding sources, including the city budget, the state budget, and other sources.
