The NBU has identified four financial institutions for monitoring in 2024

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has identified four financial institutions for on-site monitoring in 2024. The list includes Raiffeisen Bank, state-owned Oschadbank, and NovaPay, the NBU press service reports.

The purpose of the monitoring is to check the compliance of these banks with the legislation of Ukraine and the effectiveness of measures taken to ensure the continuous, reliable and efficient functioning of the payment infrastructure.

According to the plan, on-site monitoring will be conducted this year for the following facilities:

"Raiffeisen Bank (II quarter)
LLC FC "Swift Grant" (III quarter)
Oschadbank (III quarter)
FC Nova Pei LLC (IV quarter)

The NBU emphasizes that this plan has been developed and published in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation on Onsite and Offsite Monitoring of Payment Infrastructure Oversight Facilities, approved by Resolution No. 257 of the NBU Board dated December 31, 2022.

According to the Opendatabot portal, state-owned Privatbank and Oschadbank accounted for half of the total profit of all Ukrainian banks in 10 months of 2023. Privatbank's profit doubled, while Oschadbank's increased 19 times.

Among banks with foreign capital, Raiffeisen Bank is the leader, with its profit 1.7 times higher than in the first 10 months of 2021.
