How much does olivier cost? Comparison of prices for products for your favorite salad in well-known retail chains

With the arrival of the New Year and Christmas holidays, Ukrainians are actively preparing for the festive table, and the traditional olivier salad is especially popular. However, according to an analysis by Gotoshop.ua, the cost of preparing this favorite dish can vary significantly depending on the retail chain.

It is noted that the cost of a basket of products for olivier is determined by the cost of individual components, such as chilled broiler chicken fillet, peas, cucumbers and mayonnaise. The analysis revealed that the lowest price for these ingredients would be in the Silpo chain, while the most expensive was in the Novus chain.

The specific figures were also strikingly diverse. In total, a set of products for preparing 1 kg of olivier salad, which includes chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas, cucumbers, eggs, onions, and mayonnaise, will cost UAH 101.16 in Silpo, while in Novus the cost will reach UAH 131.23.

The peculiarity of this study is that we analyzed not just the prices of individual products, but the cost of a complete set for making olivier in well-known retail chains. This allows consumers to choose the best offer according to their financial capabilities and preferences.
