Apple prices are growing rapidly in Ukraine: Forecasts and facts

This week, Ukrainian gardeners have noticed a significant rise in prices for quality apples, which has had a significant impact on the fruit market. According to EastFruit analysts, prices for apples from Ukrainian farms currently range from 14-22 UAH/kg, depending on the quality, variety and volume of the batch. This is on average 30% higher than prices at the end of the first week of this year.

The significant price increase is attributed to the intensification of trade and procurement activities. According to producers, who a week ago had a weak demand for local apples, now there is an increased interest in these products from buyers of different categories.

Analysts also note that apple prices in Ukraine are currently 50% higher than last year's figures on average. This is the reason for setting new price records compared to the same period last year and the last five seasons.
