The Polish business community is currently actively discussing the activities of companies importing agricultural products from Ukraine. According to the information published on the wprost.pl portal, an unofficial list of such importers is already circulating, and some of them have already commented on their presence on this list.

The publication of an official list of companies importing Ukrainian grain could put an end to public speculation about the scale and scope of this activity, as well as the impact of agricultural products from Ukraine on the Polish market. Earlier, the previous Minister of Agriculture of Poland Robert Telus promised to publish such a list for public discussion, but this document remained unknown to the public.

In the absence of official data, an unofficial list has appeared in the public domain, which is said to contain the names of almost 500 companies. Although the origin of this list is unknown and the lack of markings on it makes it difficult to verify, it is believed to partially reflect the real situation on the market.

The publication of this list forced many of the companies mentioned in it to express their positions and deny or confirm the import of Ukrainian grain. One of these companies, Mlekovita Group, stated that it does not import Ukrainian rapeseed and rapeseed oil, but at the same time recognized the transportation of corn and sunflower meal from Ukraine through Poland in 2022.

On the other hand, Wipasz confirmed imports of Ukrainian agricultural products for the production of animal feed, which emphasizes the diversity of supply sources for Polish production. Some industries, such as feed production, cannot be sustained without grain imports, making cooperation with Ukrainian suppliers extremely important for the Polish agricultural sector.
