Spring crops are being sown in different regions of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Development, as of March 7, twelve regions have already started sowing spring crops. The area under planting is 68 thousand hectares.
In total, Ukrainian farmers have already sown 4.3 thousand hectares of wheat, 38.9 thousand hectares of barley, 23.3 thousand hectares of peas and 1.5 thousand hectares of oats.
The leading regions in terms of sowing volumes are Odesa, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, and Vinnytsia. For example, 33 thousand hectares were sown in Odesa region, 18.4 thousand hectares in Mykolaiv region, and 5.8 thousand hectares in Ternopil region.
The following indicators stand out in the distribution of crops in the regions:
Odesa region: 0.5 thousand hectares of wheat, 17.5 thousand hectares of barley, 14.3 thousand hectares of peas and 0.7 thousand hectares of oats.
In Mykolaiv region: 0.7 thousand hectares of wheat, 11.5 thousand hectares of barley, 6 thousand hectares of peas and 0.2 thousand hectares of oats.
In Ternopil region: 0.8 thousand hectares of wheat, 4.3 thousand hectares of barley and 0.7 thousand hectares of peas.
In Khmelnytsky region: 2.2 thousand hectares of barley and 0.3 thousand hectares of oats.
Vinnytsia region: 1.8 thousand hectares of wheat, 0.4 thousand hectares of barley and 1.2 thousand hectares of peas.
The sowing season in Ukraine continues, and farmers are focusing their efforts on sowing various crops to ensure a good harvest next season.
