In recent months, prices for apartments on the secondary market in almost all regions of Ukraine have continued to rise, with the largest increase in prices observed in the western regions of the country.
According to the League of Ukrainian National Market Experts (LUN), housing prices in the secondary market have increased significantly over the past 6 months. In Lviv, for example, the median price of a one-bedroom apartment in February was $60,000, which is 7% higher than six months ago, a two-bedroom apartment - $91,100 (+12%), and a three-bedroom apartment - $110,900 (+6%).
It is also worth noting a significant increase in housing prices in Frankivsk: over the past six months, prices for 1-room apartments have risen by 20% to $36,000, by 13% for two-room apartments to $49,100 and 3-room apartments to $65,000.
Kyiv has also seen a slight increase in prices, with the median price of a one-bedroom apartment on the secondary market in February at $68,000 and a two-bedroom at $85,000.
Prices on the secondary market in Odesa also increased. The median price for a one-bedroom apartment is $40,000 (+11% over the past six months), for a two-bedroom apartment - $58,300 (+5% over the past six months), and for a three-bedroom apartment - $80,000 (+6% over the past six months).
The situation in Dnipro is similar: 1-room apartments cost $38,000 (+10% over six months), 2-room apartments - $52,300 (+8%), and 3-room apartments - $71,000 (+9%).
In contrast, Kharkiv is the only city with a population of over a million people where prices in the secondary market have declined over the past six months: 1-room apartments - $24,500 (-2%), 2-room apartments - $37,500 (-7%), and 3-room apartments - $49,900 (-5%).
