Ukrainians are actively spending money on the purchase of new cars, as evidenced by the data for the first two months of 2024. According to information from Ukravtoprom, the total amount spent was almost UAH 15.8 billion. More than half of this amount was spent on purchasing cars of only five brands.
TOYOTA became the leader in terms of spending among Ukrainian motorists, accounting for over UAH 2.7 billion. The second place in the ranking is occupied by VOLKSWAGEN, with spending on cars of this brand amounting to over UAH 1.4 billion. Third place is taken by BMW with the amount of expenditures of UAH 1.3 billion. The fourth place belongs to MERCEDES-BENZ, with the cost of cars of this brand exceeding UAH 1 billion. RENAULT rounded out the top five with about UAH 973 million spent on it.
According to data for 2023, almost 61 thousand new passenger cars were sold on the Ukrainian market for a total amount of over UAH 105.5 billion. Legal entities spent more than UAH 34.3 billion on these purchases, while individuals purchased cars worth about UAH 71.2 billion.
It should be noted that the largest share of this amount is accounted for by the purchase of TOYOTA cars, which amounted to UAH 16.4 billion. These data indicate a stable demand for cars in Ukraine and high consumer interest in buying new vehicles.
