Ukrzaliznytsia plans to increase its procurement budget to UAH 65 billion

At the Supplier Day 2024 in Kyiv, Yevhen Lyashchenko, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, announced the company's intention to increase its public procurement budget this year to a record 65 billion hryvnias. This increase is expected to be due to the implementation of various infrastructure projects, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to Lyashchenko, over the past two years, the volume of public procurement by Ukrzaliznytsia has exceeded UAH 80 billion. The company is currently focusing on reaching the goal of UAH 65 billion in 2024. He emphasized that this amount will depend on the implementation of various projects, including infrastructure projects.

Lyashchenko also noted that a significant contribution to the expansion of Ukrzaliznytsia's infrastructure was made in the direction of increasing transportation capabilities to the Danube and Black Sea ports.

In 2023, Ukrzaliznytsia announced procurement for UAH 56 billion, concluded contracts for UAH 47 billion, and the number of tenderers was more than 5 thousand. The average level of competition was 1.53.

Compared to previous years, the volume of public procurement by Ukrzaliznytsia has grown significantly: in 2021, it amounted to UAH 34 billion with the participation of 3.55 thousand participants, and in 2022 - UAH 35 billion with the participation of 2.27 thousand participants.
