Demand for Tesla electric vehicles in the United States is declining due to the deteriorating reputation of the company's founder, billionaire Elon Musk.

According to a study by Caliber, a company that monitors business reputation, the drop in demand for Tesla electric cars is associated with a decrease in the interest of potential buyers due to Musk's negative public activities.

The index of customer willingness to buy a Tesla car in February 2024 dropped to 31%, compared to 70% two years ago, in November 2021. Meanwhile, the indices for Mercedes, BMW, and Audi are 44-47%, respectively.

Experts believe that Musk's controversial statements and actions, as well as his political views, negatively affect the Tesla brand and reduce demand for the company's products.

In addition, economic factors, the lack of new models, and increased competition also affect Tesla. It is expected that the company may publish disappointing delivery results for the first quarter of 2024.

Elon Musk is known for his controversial comments and actions, which cause a variety of reactions among consumers and investors.

All this leads to the fact that buyers are looking for alternative options in the electric vehicle market. Nevertheless, Tesla continues to develop and release new models, hoping to maintain its competitiveness.
