Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Reconstruction and Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, has announced impressive export figures for the sea corridor established by Ukraine in August last year. During this period, more than 1,286,000 ships have passed through the corridor, transporting 36 million tons of cargo to countries around the world, including Asia, Africa and Europe.

According to Kubrakov, 135 ships are currently expected to arrive at the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, which are expected to export another 4 million tons of cargo. This volume of exports through the sea corridor since its inception exceeds the figures of the Grain Initiative for the entire period of its operation.

According to Kubrakov, the largest vessel to enter Pivdennyi port was the Panamanian-flagged Capain Leonidas. This bulk carrier, capable of carrying more than 200,000 tons of grain, has impressive dimensions: 300 meters long and 50 meters wide.

Kubrakov also noted the record volume of exports from Pivdennyi port - 195.7 thousand tons on one vessel. This once again emphasizes the importance and power of the Ukrainian sea corridor, which has become an important element of Ukraine's foreign economic relations.
