Price trends in the Ukrainian market: sugar and flour

Amid declining prices for vegetables and salad greens, Ukraine has seen a gradual rise in prices for flour and sugar. Although these changes are not critical at the beginning of the new week, further price increases may occur before Easter. This was reported by Telegraph.

The average price per kilogram of sugar has risen to UAH 29.17 compared to March, when it was UAH 28.85. In stores, sugar prices range from 27.90 UAH to 32.70 UAH per kilogram. The most affordable offer can be found in Auchan stores, while the highest price is in Megamarket.

A similar trend is observed in the price of flour. The average price per kilogram has changed from UAH 22.51 to UAH 23.23, and for two kilograms - from UAH 41.26 to UAH 42.96. In the Megamarket and Novus chains, the price per kilogram of flour ranges from UAH 23.10 to UAH 23.50, respectively.

However, the price of two kilograms of flour in the above-mentioned chains differs by almost 5 UAH: 40.61 UAH in Novus and 45.30 UAH in Megamarket.

Prices for sugar and flour may continue to fluctuate in the near future, which should be taken into account when planning your purchases, especially as the holiday season approaches.
