Ukrenergo is introducing temporary power outages due to power shortages

The next day, April 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., "Ukrenergo" will temporarily shut down the power supply for industrial consumers in accordance with the capacity limitation schedules. This measure will be applied in all regions of Ukraine.

This was reported from the dispatch center of the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo".

According to the announcement, the energy supply of critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises of the defense complex will not be limited. Restrictions for business and industry will be evenly distributed across all regions of the country.

The reason for these measures was Russia's massive missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian power plants. With the deterioration of weather conditions, the consumption of electricity in Ukraine has increased significantly, which has led to a shortage of power in the power system.

"Ukrenergo" urges all consumers to use electricity sparingly, and industry and business to attract electricity imports and alternative energy sources as much as possible.

The introduced temporary restrictions for industrial consumers are intended to ensure the stable operation of the energy system in conditions of increased load due to the destruction of facilities as a result of Russian aggression.
