Ukraine demonstrates impressive achievements in honey production

Ukraine has demonstrated impressive achievements in honey production, becoming the second largest supplier of this product to the European market in 2023. According to Eurostat, Ukraine supplied 45.8 thousand tons of honey to the countries of the European Union, which is 28% of the total volume of imports of this product by the EU countries.

According to the agency, the largest supplier of honey to the EU in 2023 was China, which imported 60.2 thousand tons of honey, which is 37% of the market. Argentina was in third place with the volume of deliveries of 20.4 thousand tons (12%), Mexico was in fourth place with 10.7 thousand tons (7%), and Cuba was in fifth place with 4.7 thousand tons ( 3%).

The largest importer of honey in the EU in 2023 was Germany, which imported 41 thousand tons of honey from countries outside the EU, which is 25% of the total volume of imports of the Union. Belgium took second place in terms of import volumes, reaching 31.4 thousand tons (19%), followed by Poland with 23.3 thousand tons (14%), Spain with 15.7 thousand tons (10%) and France from 7.7 thousand tons (5%).

Ukraine continues to strengthen its position as a reliable supplier of honey on the international market, actively developing production and exploring new opportunities for expanding exports. This achievement testifies to the high competitiveness of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and the country's potential in ensuring stable supplies of high-quality products to international markets.

A significant part of the success of Ukrainian honey producers is due to a high standard of product quality that meets the requirements of European consumers. Ukrainian companies actively work to maintain this standard and constantly improve production technologies to ensure the highest quality of their products.
