Ukrainian workers in the agro-industrial sector will be able to reserve one year of mobilization to ensure safety during harvest. This was stated by Acting Minister of Agricultural Policy Taras Vysotskyi during the Black Sea Security Forum, Suspilne reports.

According to him, the reservation of workers of the agro-industrial complex has been automatically extended by three months, and in the future this period will be increased to one year, compared to the usual six-month period.

"Certain categories of workers, for example, tractor drivers, agronomists, veterinarians, will be able to be armored in the number that is critically needed, upon agreement with the military," Vysotskyi explained.

He also noted that the general rate of reservation is up to 50%, but for certain professions, an application can be submitted with arguments for increasing this number.

Taras Vysotsky emphasized that in connection with the mobilization of farmers in some areas, the number of workers decreased by almost 20%, which led to an increase in the workload of other workers.

Engineering professions, such as tractor drivers, machinists and elevator equipment engineers, are of particular importance in the context of the current conflict. These categories of specialists are needed both in agriculture and in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure uninterrupted work and performance of important tasks in important sectors of the national economy.
