Ukrzaliznytsia provides preferential conditions for sending agricultural products with a 30% discount

Ukrainian Railways continues to actively support the agricultural sector through the introduction of a 30% discount on export transportation of agricultural products from areas facing hostilities or under occupation. According to the information presented by the Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of the UZ, Valery Tkachev, more than 1,200 wagons and 24 fitting platforms with grain have been sent at preferential rates since June 5.

At an online meeting with agricultural market participants on June 20, it was emphasized that the campaign received a significant response among senders. The reduced tariff is applied from a list of more than 250 stations, which provides ample opportunities for effective grain export.

The deputy director also urged all interested parties not to waste time and take advantage of this initiative, as a limited amount of funds has been allocated by the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure these preferential conditions.

According to Resolution No. 581 of May 17, which established a discount for the transportation of agricultural products, this initiative is aimed at supporting farmers in the frontline regions, who have been facing high logistics costs and other difficulties affecting their incomes for a long time.

The introduction of such measures confirms the commitment of Ukrzaliznytsia to support the agricultural sector of Ukraine in the conditions of a difficult geopolitical situation and to strengthen its competitiveness on the international market.
