According to operational data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in the current marketing year 2023/24, Ukraine exported almost 49.54 million tons of grain and leguminous crops as of June 21, of which 2.608 million tons were shipped in June alone. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine.
Compared to last year, total exports for the same period amounted to 48.424 million tons, of which 3.087 million tons were shipped in June 2022.
Since the beginning of this season, the following have been exported:
- **wheat** - 18.123 million tons (in June - 686 thousand tons), which exceeds the figure of 16.6 million tons on June 26 last year;
- **barley** - 2.461 million tons (75 thousand tons), compared to 2.68 million tons last year;
- **rye** - 1.6 thousand tons (none in June), compared to 18 thousand tons last year;
- **maize** - 28.416 million tons (1.366 million tons), compared to 28.8 million tons last year.
The total export of Ukrainian flour as of June 21 this year is also significantly behind last year's figure (151 thousand tons) and amounted to 96.7 thousand tons (in June - 4.2 thousand tons), in particular wheat - 91.3 thousand tons (in June - 4.1 thousand tons).
These data indicate the continuation of a high rate of export of grain and leguminous crops from Ukraine, despite various challenges and changes in international markets.
