The Ukrainian company Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland received an important license from the Polish Railway Transport Authority, which will allow it to enter the European market of rail freight transportation. This was reported by the press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia".

Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Lyashchenko emphasized that obtaining a license is a key step in the company's strategy for the development of international rail transportation. "This is another stage on the way to the creation of a full-fledged international railway operator that will be able to offer its customers integrated cross-border transportation," Lyashchenko said.

At the first stage, Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland plans to focus on increasing the volume of transportation across the Ukrainian-Polish borders. This will allow Ukrainian and Polish shippers to use door-to-door service from a single operator, simplifying the process of concluding contracts.

The company also plans to develop and optimize rolling stock for different types of tracks used on international routes (1435 mm and 1520 mm). This will allow Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland to provide efficient transportation through all border crossings with Poland.

It is expected that Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland's integrated transportation services will begin to be provided already next year, contributing to the further development of international rail connections between Ukraine and Europe.
