Ukrnafta has started drilling a new well in western Ukraine

The company "Ukrnafta" announced the start of drilling a new exploratory well in the west of Ukraine. The design depth of this well is 2,754 meters.

These works are performed by the company's own forces, in particular, using the equipment of the structural unit "Ukrnafta Burinnia". This testifies to the high level of technical training and self-sufficiency of "Ukrnafta".

It is expected that the new well will open productive layers of menilitic deposits. It is predicted that the initial throughput will be about 16 tons of oil per day. This is an important step in the development of the oil and gas industry in the western region of the country.

Ukrnafta also announced plans to drill two oil wells in eastern Ukraine. The total daily production from these wells should exceed 100 tons of oil. The design depths of these wells will be about 4.5 kilometers.

Over the next three years, Ukrnafta plans to drill 160 new wells. The company will introduce new technologies and use the equipment of the world's leading manufacturers, which will significantly increase the efficiency of production.

In June 2024, the company began drilling a new well in the northeast of Ukraine, completion of work is scheduled for August. This confirms the active activity of "Ukrnafta" in expanding its production base.

On March 22, Ukrnafta received a new special permit for hydrocarbon extraction from the State Geology and Subsoil Service of Ukraine. Thanks to this, the company plans to increase production by one billion cubic meters of natural gas and one hundred thousand tons of oil.

During 2023, Ukrnafta commissioned 8 new oil wells, which provided a total daily production of 238 tons of oil. In 2023, the company produced 1.4099 million tons of oil with condensate and 1.0974 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 3% and 6% higher than in 2022, respectively.
