Electric vehicle boom in Ukraine: analysis of car popularity in June

In June 2024, Ukrainians continued to actively choose electric cars, increasing their number by 35% compared to the same period last year. According to the data of the association "Ukravtoprom", almost 4.2 thousand new motor vehicles are registered on battery power sources (BEV).

The bulk of new registrations are passenger electric cars, of which 784 are brand new and 3,295 are used. This confirms the stable development of the electric vehicle market in Ukraine, where the demand for green vehicles is constantly growing.

The TOP-5 most popular new electric cars in June include the following models:

- Honda m-nv – 140 units;
- Nissan Ariya – 91 units;
- MG 4 – 71 units;
- Volkswagen ID.4 – 71 units;
- BYD Song Plus – 62 units.

Considerable interest was also shown in used electric cars, in particular, the TOP-5 of the first registrations in this category included such models as TESLA Model 3, Nissan Leaf, TESLA Model Y, Volkswagen e-Golf and TESLA Model S.

In total, in the first half of 2024, more than 24,400 electric cars were registered in Ukraine. Of them, 20% are new vehicles, and the rest are used models, which indicates the wide popularity of green technologies among Ukrainian car owners.

The continuation of positive trends in the market of electric vehicles indicates the growing awareness of Ukrainians regarding the need to switch to an environmentally friendly mode of transport that meets the modern requirements of sustainable development and reducing the impact on the environment.
