Record demand: Ukrainians choose new BMW cars in 2024

In June of this year, the German automobile company BMW unexpectedly took second place in the Ukrainian market of new passenger cars. During the month, Ukrainians bought 545 new cars of this premium brand, reports "Ukravtoprom".

Since the beginning of the year, more than 2,100 new BMW cars have been sold in Ukraine, which is 7.5% more than in the same period last year. This became a record for the BMW brand for the first half of the year in the history of the Ukrainian car market, as Ukravtoprom emphasizes.

According to analysts, such success allowed BMW to enter the top five of the Ukrainian car market, taking fifth place. The previous record for demand for new BMW cars for the January-June period was set in 2023.

"Ukravtoprom" reminds that in the peak year for the Ukrainian market of new cars, 2008, more than 300,000 new passenger cars were sold in the first six months, of which BMW made 978 units.
