This year, a historically low level of blueberry prices is observed in Ukraine. After several years of relatively low prices for this berry, many entrepreneurs who hoped for high profitability in the blueberry business are revising their calculations. This is evidenced by AgroTimes monitoring data.

Although the beginning of the current season was marked by higher prices compared to the previous year, in the second half of June they fell below the level of 2023 and previous years, and a long-term decline is observed.

At the largest wholesale market in western Ukraine, "Shuvar" in Lviv, prices for blueberries vary from 90 to 130 hryvnias per kilogram. The average price is 100 hryvnias per kilogram.

At this time last year, the average price per kilogram of blueberries was 130 hryvnias. In previous years, it ranged from 118 to 165 hryvnias per kilogram. In dollar or European equivalent, the difference is even more significant.

For comparison, at the wholesale market "Bronise" near Warsaw (Poland), the price of a kilogram of blueberries ranges from 14 to 24 zlotys (from 147 to 253 hryvnias), depending on the variety and packaging.
