Ukrainian manufacturers dominate procurement of the Ministry of Defense: 80% of contracts in the first half of 2024

In the first half of 2024, Ukrainian manufacturers took the leading place in the contracts of the procurement agencies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to official data, the share of domestic enterprises in the total volume of contracting of the "State Rear Operator" reached 80%.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that this trend is confirmed in another procurement agency of the department - "Defense Procurement Agency", where Ukrainian companies received 70% of all contracts. Such a high indicator testifies to the efficiency of domestic production and its important role in ensuring the country's defense capability.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov noted that cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers is a priority. According to him, such interaction not only guarantees a stable supply of quality products, but also allows a quick response to changes in the needs of the defense sector, while at the same time contributing to the development of Ukraine's economy.

Klimenkov emphasized that the maximum use of own resources and potential is of crucial importance in the conditions of external aggression. He noted that Ukrainian enterprises are able to ensure the country's independence and security by providing the defense sector with the necessary resources and equipment.

In addition, the deputy minister emphasized the importance of investments in the development of domestic production. He believes that such steps will help strengthen the economic potential of the state and create new jobs, which is critically important in the current situation.

Thus, the first half of 2024 was successful for Ukrainian manufacturers in the field of defense procurement. Thanks to their active participation and cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, Ukraine maintains a high level of defense capability and economic stability.
