Cherkasy Azot resumes production: launch of key workshops and plans for the future

Cherkasy "Azot", which is part of the nitrogen business of Group DF, has resumed the work of two main production shops - ammonia (A-5) and urea (M-6). This was reported by the international group of companies Group DF, which manages the enterprise. The resumption of the work of these shops became possible thanks to the completion of planned repairs and the increase in the volume of fertilizer production in connection with the seasonal increase in demand.

Today, Cherkasy "Azot" operates two shops for the production of ammonia. Shop A-3 has a capacity of 1,200 tons of ammonia per day, while shop A-5 provides 1,700 tons per day. In addition, there are two workshops for the production of urea: M-2 and M-6, each of which has a capacity of 1,000 tons per day. Workshops for the production of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate also continue to work.

Vitaliy Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Azot", noted that the launch of these workshops is an important step in preparation for the autumn sowing campaign. He assured that the company is ready to provide farmers and agricultural holdings with the necessary fertilizers, emphasizing the reliability of the company even in the difficult conditions of war. Sklyarov also expressed hope that power outages will not interfere with the smooth operation of the enterprise and the fulfillment of all contracts.

In 2024, Cherkasy "Azot" invested 164.6 million hryvnias in capital repairs of equipment. In general, the company's capital expenditures since the beginning of the year amounted to 222 million hryvnias. These investments are aimed at maintaining and improving production capacities, which will help ensure a stable supply of fertilizers on the market.

The restoration of the key workshops of Cherkasy "Azot" is an important stage in the development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, especially in conditions of seasonal growth in the need for fertilizers. This also emphasizes the readiness of the enterprise to provide the agricultural sector with the necessary resources, despite the difficult economic and political circumstances.
