Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded an agreement that provides for the provision of 250 additional permits for cargo transportation, which is 80% of the basic quota. This agreement should ensure a stable and uninterrupted process of delivery of goods between the two countries until the end of 2024.

This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine. The department notes that this agreement is an important step in the direction of improving transport connections between Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is especially relevant in the conditions of increasing trade volumes.

The new permits will allow Ukrainian carriers to perform bilateral and transit transportation, as well as to carry out transportation to third countries. This will provide Ukrainian entrepreneurs with more opportunities to expand their business operations and ensure timely delivery of goods to foreign markets.

Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, noted that this is only part of the ministry's strategy aimed at full liberalization of freight transportation with all European countries. According to him, the agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina is an important step in this direction, as it provides the necessary conditions for the development of economic ties and support for Ukrainian business.

Derkach emphasized that the conclusion of this agreement is the result of fruitful cooperation between the two countries, and that additional permits will satisfy the needs of Ukrainian carriers in road transport, which will allow the full potential of transport connections between Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina to be realized.

Earlier, the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine also reached an agreement with the Ministry of Transport of Norway on the continuation of bilateral and transit transportation between countries without the need to obtain permits until September 30, 2024. These arrangements reflect a general trend towards the simplification of transport procedures and the support of international trade.
