Installation of the new KARMEL concrete plant has begun at Khmelnytskyi NPP

On the territory of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant (KHNPP), work on the installation of a modern KARMEL concrete plant is actively underway. The plant, whose commissioning is planned, has large capacities and the ability to produce up to 12,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete structures, as well as 1,400 tons of metal structures and fittings every year. The new plant is expected to create 350 to 380 jobs.

The press service of "Energoatom" confirms that the plant will produce mixtures for the construction and repair of the Khao NPP facilities, including the arrangement of special sites, routes for the movement of personnel and the foundations of modular buildings for employees.

This new infrastructure will also be used for the production of reinforced concrete structures necessary for the repair work on power units #3 and #4 of the Khao NPP, as well as for future construction projects at this station.

One of the key components of the new plant is an installed plant with a capacity of 40 cubic meters per hour. This modern equipment of domestic production can work in automatic and manual modes, ensuring reliable and trouble-free operation even in different weather conditions.

Thanks to the introduction of a new concrete plant at the Khao NPP, the efficiency and effectiveness of the production of necessary construction materials will increase, which meets modern requirements in the field of energy and construction. The project will contribute to the integration of the latest technologies into production processes, which is important for the further development of the energy complex of Ukraine.

The commissioning of the new KARMEL plant at the Khmelnytskyi NPP is a step towards improving the infrastructure and ensuring the reliability of the operation of the nuclear power plant, which is a strategically important facility for the country's energy security.
