The USA is preparing a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 375 million dollars

The United States plans to announce a new $375 million military aid package for Ukraine next week. This information was confirmed by sources who wished to remain anonymous, in a Reuters report.

According to the details, the new package will include patrol boats, additional munitions for the High Mobility Artillery Missile Systems (HIMARS), as well as 155- and 105-millimeter artillery ammunition. In addition, the aid will include spare parts and other weapons, which should increase the combat capability of the Ukrainian forces.

It is noted that the specific content and scope of this package may change in the coming days before the final signing of the document by President Joe Biden. This testifies to the dynamism of the situation and the adaptation of aid to the current needs of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that since May, the United States has not provided more than $275 million in aid packages under the President's Arms Reduction Authority (PDA). This authority allows for the use of existing stockpiles of weapons for the urgent assistance of allies in emergency situations.

In addition, the Biden administration is actively working to extend the agreement on military aid to Ukraine in the amount of about 5.5 billion dollars. This agreement expires on September 30, and its continuation is critical for stability and security in the region.
