JYSK continues to actively expand its presence in Ukraine

The Danish chain JYSK continues to actively expand its presence in Ukraine, despite the challenges associated with the war. On October 3, the company will open its 100th anniversary store in Chernivtsi, at Ruska Street, 248, in the Equator shopping and entertainment center. This is already the second store of the chain in this city, reports Delo.ua.

The new store is designed according to the modern JYSK 3.0 concept, which involves improved design and optimized spatial organization. Its total area is 825 square meters, and additionally there is a storage space of 260 square meters and an office space of 33.43 square meters.

Despite the difficult situation in the country, "JYSK Ukraine" continues to move forward and plans further development. In fiscal year 2025 (which for JYSK runs from September 2024 to August 2025), the company intends to open nine more stores and renovate 12 existing ones. The country manager of JYSK in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanytsia told about this in an interview for Delo.ua, noting that the volume of investments next year will be at the level of 2024.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, JYSK has continued to support the development of its stores in Ukraine, investing significant funds. During this period, the company invested approximately 400 million hryvnias in the opening of 20 new stores, reconstruction of 17 and restoration of six stores that were damaged or destroyed due to military actions.

In addition to the development of the retail network, JYSK makes a significant contribution to the country's economy. During this period, the company paid about 2 billion hryvnias in taxes to the Ukrainian budget, which confirms its commitment to work for the benefit of the Ukrainian market even in difficult conditions.

JYSK's plans for 2025 testify to the company's confidence in the prospects for the development of the Ukrainian market. Despite the challenges associated with the war, the chain strives to provide Ukrainians with quality home goods, expanding its presence in various regions of the country.
