In preparation for the winter heating season, three Ukrainian cities — Kharkiv, Dnipro and Kremenchuk — will receive 28 modular gas boilers. This decision was adopted on October 4 at a meeting of the Government of Ukraine, which was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to Shmyhal, these boiler houses will become an alternative source of heat, which will make it much easier for cities to get through the winter period. "This is an important step in ensuring a stable heat supply for residents," he added.
In addition to the Prime Minister, the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, also confirmed the information about the transfer of the boiler houses. He noted that boiler houses are transferred to the ownership of territorial communities of Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. This will ensure the uninterrupted supply of communal heating services during the 2024/25 heating season, as well as at critical infrastructure facilities.
It is worth noting that earlier Denys Shmyhal reported on the readiness of 82% of housing and communal facilities in Ukraine for the heating season. He emphasized that the autumn-winter period will be extremely difficult, but most facilities are ready for work.
"According to the data of the Ministry of Infrastructure, as of today, the readiness of housing and communal facilities is 82%. In the rear regions, these indicators are slightly higher, and in the front-line territories, they are slightly lower," said Shmyhal.
Thus, the transfer of 28 modular gas boilers is an important step in ensuring stable heat supply for Ukrainian cities. The Government of Ukraine continues to take measures to prepare for winter in order to support the population in this difficult period.
