Ukrzaliznytsia clarified the opening dates for train ticket sales: important details for passengers

"Ukrzaliznytsia" announced a new schedule for the opening of ticket sales for both domestic and international trains, taking into account the changes caused by the war situation. Passengers can read detailed information about the dates of the start of ticket sales, which will help them plan their trips in advance.

According to the official announcement of "Ukrzaliznytsia", the standard sale of tickets for long-distance trains traditionally starts 20 days before the departure date. However, due to the instability caused by the full-scale invasion of Russia, companies are forced to make operational decisions regarding certain areas. Therefore, for a number of flights, tickets go on sale only 10 days before the departure date.

This applies to such routes as trains Lviv — Kherson (No. 110/109), Kyiv — Mykolaiv, Kherson (No. 122/121), Kherson — Kramatorsk (No. 102/101), Lviv — Kramatorsk (No. 104/103), Odesa — Kramatorsk (No. 192/191), Kyiv — Kramatorsk (No. 712/711), as well as Dnipro — Pavlograd (No. 234/233). This schedule also includes groups of non-stop cars and regional trains numbered 800, in particular the regional express Lviv — Chernivtsi (No. 702/701).

Regarding international destinations, passengers can buy tickets for trains to Poland (Przemyśl, Dorogusk, Chelm, Warsaw) 20 days before departure, and sales start at 09:00. For trains to Slovakia and Austria, the sale also opens 20 days in advance, but at 08:00. For routes to Moldova, tickets can be purchased 30 days before the departure date, also with the start of sales at 08:00.

"Ukrzaliznytsia" also reminds that train tickets can be bought not only at station ticket offices, but also through the "Ukrzaliznytsia" application, on the official website and with the help of a chatbot. This allows passengers to conveniently choose their route and arrange a trip without queues and extra time.
