The Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) announced the auction of confiscated Belarusian potash. In total, it is planned to sell 30,000 tons of potassium chloride, and the total cost of the lots, including customs payments, exceeds half a billion hryvnias.
This was reported by ARMA head Olena Duma. According to her, 10 lots of potassium chloride, which are stored in 433 wagons and have a total weight of 30,431 tons, are put up for auction. The products belong to the Belarusian enterprise "Belaruskali" OJSC.
The starting price of the lots, determined by an independent appraiser, is 391.2 million hryvnias (excluding VAT). However, the winner of the auction must additionally pay customs fees, which are estimated at 126.6 million hryvnias. Thus, the final value of the lots is more than 517 million hryvnias.
The auction will take place on the electronic platform "Prozorro.Prodazhi" on December 5, 2024 at 11:05. All interested persons can monitor the progress of the auctions and participate in them.
As Olena Duma noted, the funds received from the sale of confiscated potash will be used to support Ukraine's economy and defense capability. In particular, through the mechanism of purchasing bonds of the domestic state loan (OVDP).
Previously, ARMA has already successfully completed other auctions for the sale of confiscated assets. For example, almost 40,000 liters of herbicides were sold for about 3 million hryvnias, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the agency in using seized resources for the benefit of the state.
