Demand for used cars: top models on the Ukrainian market in 2024

In 2024, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with more than 222.1 thousand used cars, which is 4% higher than last year. Most of these cars were imported from abroad, which emphasizes the long-term demand for imported models.

According to the Ukravtoprom association, more than three-quarters of all cars added to the register last year were used cars from abroad. This indicates the high attractiveness of foreign models among Ukrainians.

The average age of used cars that received Ukrainian registration in 2024 is 9 years. This figure reflects the demand for high-quality, but affordable vehicles.

Analysts note that 47% of used cars registered in the country last year were gasoline. Diesel models accounted for 25%, while the share of electric cars reached 18%. Gasoline-powered cars and hybrids each account for 5% of the market.

The leadership among imported models is held by the Volkswagen Golf, which became the choice of 12,164 motorists. The top ten most popular used cars also included the Renault Megane (over 9.6 thousand), Skoda Octavia (about 8 thousand) and Volkswagen Passat (more than 6.5 thousand).

The top list also included the Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Leaf, Audi Q5, Nissan Rogue, Tesla Model 3 and Mazda CX-5. These cars provide variety for Ukrainians looking for high-quality and modern vehicles.
