Ukrainian farmers received over UAH 9 billion in loans to support the agricultural sector in 2025

The "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" program continues to actively support Ukrainian farmers, promoting the development of agricultural enterprises through access to preferential financing. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 944 agricultural producers have received loans totaling UAH 4.5 billion.

This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval, emphasizing the importance of this program for the agricultural sector. According to the new conditions, from January 1, 2025, loans under this program are available exclusively to those enterprises that are registered in the State Agrarian Register (DAR).

The largest amounts of financing were received by agricultural enterprises in such regions of Ukraine as Chernihiv, Kyiv, Odesa and Vinnytsia regions. Chernihiv region became the leader in the amount of funds attracted - UAH 523.3 million, Kyiv region received UAH 371.7 million, Odesa region - UAH 371.1 million, and Vinnytsia region - UAH 340.7 million.

In total, in the first two months of 2025, farmers have already attracted more than UAH 9.3 billion in bank loans for the development of their farms. This indicates high demand for the program and the willingness of farmers to invest in the modernization and expansion of their production capacities.

The "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" program is implemented with the support of the World Bank within the framework of the ARISE project. It allows agricultural enterprises to receive loans in the amount of up to UAH 90 million at preferential rates from 5 to 9% per annum. This allows farms not only to stabilize their financial flows, but also to implement new projects that contribute to increasing the efficiency of agriculture in Ukraine.

It is important to note that this program not only supports farmers, but also stimulates infrastructure development, which in turn has a positive impact on the overall economic condition of the country.
